Draft for review. This policy hasn't been finalised yet. It will be updated once QuarterStack's company is set up.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data QuarterStack collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. It covers the website and the Founding 50 waiting list. The QuarterStack app will have its own policy when it launches.
Who we are
The data controller is George Foley, trading as QuarterStack. A limited company will take over this role once it's set up, and we'll update this policy and let you know when that happens.
Contact: george@quarterstackapp.com
What we collect
When you join the waiting list, we collect:
- your email address
- your store's web address
- whether you're VAT-registered (yes, no or not sure)
- your monthly revenue band
- when you ticked the consent box, and the wording you agreed to
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't store your IP address.
To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks signals from your browser and device (such as your IP address) to tell people from bots. Cloudflare processes this for the check only; we don't keep it.
Why we use it
- To contact you about the founding offer and QuarterStack's launch. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To plan the launch, for example how many sign-ups are VAT-registered. This also relies on your consent.
- To keep the form free of spam. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the waiting list.
We won't sell your data or use it for anything else.
Where it's stored
Your details are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database. Cloudflare acts as our processor under its data processing terms. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK. Where it does, it relies on safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
Only George Foley has access to the waiting list.
How long we keep it
If you don't become a customer, we delete your details 12 months after QuarterStack launches. If you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your details, we delete them sooner, within one month.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before
To use any of these rights, email george@quarterstackapp.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first, so please contact us before you do.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your details, we'll email you first.
